MEANWHILE

For the Photojournalism Essay I decided to visit the Harbour lights Picture House in Southampton. I visited the place once to obtain permission and then twice to take photographs. This photojournalism essay simply tries to capture the moments of what happens in a projection room while a film is being screened.Being indoor and low-lit as a place the projection room gave me a great opportunity to use the aperture of the camera in diverse ways.

This was entirely shot on a Cannon 550D  with the use of a 50 mm and a 18-55 mm lens. The look and feel given to these photographs while editing them, has been inspired by a few new age feature films.

After researching a dozen of photojournalists the work of Ajay Menon  caught my eye. He is one of the new crop of digital photojournalists who works in India, capturing stunning images of the idiosyncratic world he lives in. Brilliant use of colour palette during post production is what catches the eye of the viewer.

For my photojournalism essay I would like to use brilliant colour schemes to bring out the life in images and make it look more from the 21st century.
